I’m really pleased to announce that from Monday 11th May, my Bristol osteopathy clinic is re-opening gradually for emergency treatment of patients.
Osteopathic treatments are now available for patients in urgent situations, to front line/key workers and those in acute pain, who are also low-risk from catching Covid-19.
I’m encouraging high-risk/vulnerable patients who are in pain to book an online consultation instead, to discuss the factors they are experiencing, so that I can assess, guide and provide expert advice on lifestyle and pain management until they are able to safely visit the clinic again to see me.
This can be done either by online booking or over a telephone conversation.
During clinic face to face consultations I will be wearing appropriate PPE including face mask, eye wear and apron. I will be spreading patient consultations to avoid any unnecessary conflict with social distancing. This will also ensure adequate time is provided for a thorough decontamination of the treatment area, as well as disinfecting all handles, surfaces and shared spaces as well as thorough washing of hands.
I will contact all patients 24-48 hours before their appointment to ensure face to face consultation is necessary and appropriate. I encourage all patients to wear masks if possible.
These precautions are a combination of guidelines provided by Public Health England and my professional governing body the GOsC.
During lockdown, I’ve also developed a range of online-based consultation and assessment services for patients, via live video TeleHealth calls.
So, if you’re unable to safely book in to see me at the clinic at this current time, please book your online osteopathy consultation here.
I have a number of osteopathic services available to patients in Bristol, and there are specific groups that I assist, including desk-based office workers, sporty people and the elderly – please visit here to find out more.
